In 2007 I was privileged enough to join Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard and 11 other trainers, speakers, and coaches as they came together to co-author my book “Blueprint for Success”. I read through all of the authors’ stories but it was chapter 12 that influenced me the most, written by Shannon Wallis. She wrote about her calling to a personal adventure of walking a 500 mile pilgrimage in northern Spain called El Camino Santiago, or the Road of St. James. A few years later, in 2010, a movie called “The Way”, written by Emilo Esteves, gives a spotlight to this epic experience.
These influences turned me onto a dream, and the dream turned into a goal. It’s been 10 years in the making and now it’s a reality: on Friday May 19th I fly to Spain to begin my own pilgrimage on the trail of El Camino Santiago. What was re-enforced for me was the idea that when you’re inspired by a dream, you’ll discover the power to make it come true, no matter how long it takes. On-going personal development and growth, along with self-coaching has huge implications on pushing dreams toward becoming reality. I felt called to walk The Camino. Is there a dream that calls to you that you want to make real? Let New Vibe Training help you start that journey, join us for our Foundations For Coach Leadership class and get on the trail toward making your dreams real.
