I want to encourage our coaching community not to let the clamoring be a distraction, but instead see it as a motivation. No matter what may be happening in the world never ever lose sight of the purpose within yourself. Ralph Waldo Emerson said it beautifully when he addressed how to make a difference by living a well-lived life:
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make a difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Notice the words Emerson uses in describing making a difference. To be useful, to behonorable, and to be compassionate. In this day and age it is more important than ever for each individual to hold to these qualities and display them in their own lives. But perhaps more importantly it is these qualities that can bring purpose to your own life. And purpose, according to Emerson, comes from living so you can make a difference. Ask yourself: could a sense of purpose bring peace to each person’s individual life, including your own? We all must give peace a chance in our own hearts before it can be demonstrated outwardly to a world that needs it.
Becoming a certified coach could be considered the perfect outlet to be useful, honorable, and compassionate. Is this how you find purpose, and through finding purpose find peace?
New Vibe Training is starting its last CORE Certification course of the year November 18th and 19th. Is coaching how you find peace and purpose?
