When it comes to your own growth and professional development, consider this: sometimes it’s not sensible to play it safe. The well-known psychologist and creator of the Hierarchy of Needs, Abraham Maslow once said, “you will either step forth into growth, or you will step back into safety.” For many people the mind is set on clinging to the known to avoid the unknown. How many times have we forfeited opportunities due to fear or lack of confidence, and been stuck in the same old humdrum because we played it safe? Well observe this reality: the world around us is constantly evolving and adapting and the advantage goes to the person who invests on their path of personal and professional growth. Yes, it’s important to minimize costly risks, and at the same time maximize our ability to improve ourselves. I believe the biggest bang for your self-improvement investment is learning and applying the coaching language and skill set to your every-day life. I believe it because I’m living proof.
In the book “The Coaching Habit: Say Less, Ask More & Change the Way You Lead Forever” Michael Bungay Stanier shares a remark from the author of the book “Emotional Intelligence” Daniel Goleman: “He suggested that there are six essential leadership styles. Coaching was one of them and it was shown to have a ‘markedly positive’ impact on performance, climate (culture) and the bottom line.” Without a doubt, more and more individuals and organizations that are identifying a need to grow are shifting toward coaching as a guide to move forward or becoming a coach to support others.

“Entering the coach training at New Vibe in 2008 ignited something in me that changed my life forever! I found a vehicle to help find the wonder in me so I can help others discover their own wonder within. I’ve heard it said ‘life begins at 40!’ I say life begins when you coach!
“Coaching has opened so many doors and I love guiding others through their own discovery process. After so many years in the corporate world I learned at New Vibe specifically how to guide others to be empowered and think for themselves.”
